I do think Adam Lambert was robbed just because the competition could not have been more talentless. That said, he is no monster talent himself. His voice is so screechily unpleasant, he makes Axel Rose sound like Mariah Carey by comparison.
The homophobia charge is spurious, on American Idol, the underdog wins more often then not.
